QUALIFICATIONS

 

Saint Lucia’s Citizenship by Investment Program was established in 2015 under the regulations of the Citizenship by Investment Bill 2015, making it the most recent addition to the CIP programs in the Caribbean region.

 

Saint Lucia has masterfully positioned its program for the global elite by limiting application numbers and raising the overall net worth requirement. To qualify for citizenship in Saint Lucia, applicants must fulfill one of the investment requirements below in addition to the following criteria:

INVESTMENT OPTIONS

 

1. National Economic Fund Contribution

 

High net-worth individuals may choose to make a monetary contribution to the NEF organization via one of the prescribed contribution levels.

• US$240,000: Single applicant.

• US$240,000: Main applicant applying with up to three qualifying dependents.

• US$10,000: Each additional qualifying dependent under 18 years old.

• US$20,000: Each additional qualifying dependent above 18 years old.

2. Real Estate Investment

​​

Applicants may purchase property valued at a minimum of US$300,000 in a pre-approved real estate development area. *Government administrative fees, property registration, processing fees, and taxes must be paid in addition to the property purchase.

​​

3. National Action Bond Investment

Upon approval, an applicant and any number of accompanying family members may opt to invest US$300,000 in Saint Lucia National Action Bonds.

​

*The National Action Bond option carries a nonrefundable administration fee of US$50,000 per application.

APPLICATION FEES

​​

Visa Line's Advisory fees are based on the number of dependents, country of origin, residence and other retained services, as well as service and legal fees related to the submission of citizenship and passport application for the main applicant.

Applicants and their families must also pay the following non-refundable fees depending on the size of the family and the chosen investment option:

US$30,000: Main applicant;

US$45,000: Main applicant with spouse;

US$5,000: Dependent child under 18;

US$10,000: Dependent child over 18;

GOVERNMENT ADMINISTRATION FEES (ENTERPRISE)

US$15,000: Main applicant;

US$20,000: Main applicant with spouse;

US$5,000: First dependent;

US$5,000: Second dependent;

US$5,000: Additional dependent under 18;

US$10,000: Additional dependent over 18;

PROCESSING FEES

US$2,000: Main applicant;

US$1,000: Per dependent.

 

DUE DILIGENCE FEES

US$8,000: Main applicant; US$5,000:

Per dependent over 16; US$7,500: Financial sponsor.

The increased due diligence fees cover the cost of the mandatory interview requirements.

APPLICATION PROCESS AND TIMELINE

​

MONTH 1

1.   File preparation. Visa Line Capital issues pre-approval letter. Advisory and due diligence fees are due at this step.

MONTH 2

​2.   Citizenship file submission.

​

MONTH 3

​3.   Government’s Citizenship-by-Investment Unit issues Approved in Principle letter.

4.   Investment made in selected option. Payment of government fees, if applicable.

5.   Naturalization Certificate issued.

MONTH 4

​6.  Submission of passport application. Passport issued.

FAQ 1. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET MY SAINT LUCIA CITIZENSHIP?

Once your application for citizenship by investment in Saint Lucia has been qualified for processing, it will take approximately ninety (90) days to be granted approval.

The most affordable option for a single applicant in Saint Lucia’s Citizenship by Investment program is making a monetary contribution of US$100,000 to the National Economic Fund.

FAQ 3. CAN I INCLUDE PARENTS BELOW 65 YEARS IN MY SAINT LUCIA CITIZENSHIP APPLICATION?

Yes, in fact under the new amendments, you may include parents of 55 years and older as dependents, under the condition that they are fully supported by the main applicant.
